Sahil Metals stands out as a leading manufacturer and supplier of Aluminium 6082 Forgings in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They specialize in high-quality aluminum alloys that are designed for strength, durability, and reliability. Aluminium 6082, a medium-strength alloy from the 6000 series, is celebrated for its impressive corrosion resistance, machinability, and weldability. Often called a structural alloy, it finds extensive use in engineering and construction projects where top-notch mechanical properties are essential. Sahil Metals is committed to precision forging, upholding strict quality standards, and delivering customer-centric solutions. You’ll find Aluminium 6082 forgings in various demanding sectors, including aerospace, marine, defense, automotive, and structural engineering.
Aluminium 6082 Forgings consist of 0.7–1.3% magnesium, 0.6–1.2% silicon, 0.4–1.0% manganese, ≤0.50% iron, ≤0.10% copper, ≤0.25% chromium, ≤0.20% zinc, and trace amounts of titanium, with aluminum making up the rest. In terms of mechanical properties, Aluminium 6082 boasts a tensile strength of 260–340 MPa, yield strength of 240–280 MPa (in T6 condition), elongation of 8–12%, and a Brinell hardness of about 90 HB. This heat-treatable alloy can achieve greater strength through artificial aging. Thanks to its excellent corrosion resistance, good machinability, and weldability, Aluminium 6082 is regarded as one of the top choices for forging in structural applications.

Forging Aluminum 6082 involves heating the alloy to a specific temperature, applying pressure through hammering or pressing, and shaping it into custom forms. The process improves strength and durability.
Aluminum 6082 is not typically used for high-temperature forging applications. It has good strength and corrosion resistance but lacks the high-temperature stability required for such applications compared to other alloys.
The workability of Aluminum 6082 affects the forging process by enabling good formability at elevated temperatures, allowing for complex shapes. However, it requires precise control to avoid cracking or deformation.
Aluminium 6082 Forgings are a go-to choice in structural engineering, construction equipment, bridges, and crane parts, thanks to their impressive strength-to-weight ratio. In the marine sector, you’ll find them in shipbuilding, offshore platforms, and deck structures. The automotive and aerospace industries also rely on these forgings for aircraft fittings, chassis components, and precision parts that need to stand the test of time. Plus, they’re used in defense equipment, transport systems, and heavy machinery. With their high corrosion resistance and excellent machinability, Aluminium 6082 forgings are perfect for industries that need strong, lightweight, and durable forged components.
