Sahil Metals is a well-respected manufacturer and supplier of Aluminium 5082 Forgings based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They specialize in high-performance aluminum alloys that are celebrated for their outstanding corrosion resistance, strength, and durability. Aluminium 5082, part of the 5000 series, is a magnesium-rich alloy that excels in both marine and industrial settings. Sahil Metals is committed to precision forging, rigorous quality control, and tailored dimensions to align with international standards. Thanks to its superior weldability, ductility, and toughness, Aluminium 5082 forgings find extensive applications in shipbuilding, automotive, transportation, chemical processing, and structural projects, ensuring a long service life and dependable performance even in tough conditions.
Aluminium 5082 Forgings consist of 3.5–4.5% magnesium, 0.20–0.50% manganese, ≤0.40% silicon, ≤0.40% iron, ≤0.10% copper, ≤0.25% chromium, ≤0.20% zinc, with the rest being aluminum. This blend offers remarkable resistance to seawater and industrial chemicals while maintaining strength. In terms of mechanical properties, Aluminium 5082 boasts a tensile strength of 275–350 MPa, yield strength of 130–200 MPa, elongation of 12–18%, and a Brinell hardness of about 75 HB. As a non-heat-treatable alloy, it gains strength through cold working, merging toughness and corrosion resistance with solid fatigue properties, making it ideal for critical structural forgings.
