Stainless Steel 410 Bars/Rods are martensitic stainless steels that typically contain 11.5–13.5% chromium and up to 0.15% carbon, along with small amounts of manganese, silicon, and nickel. This unique composition allows for heat treatment, which enhances their strength, hardness, and wear resistance. The material boasts a tensile strength between 500–700 MPa and a yield strength of around 275 MPa. SS 410 provides moderate corrosion resistance, especially in less aggressive environments, and offers good machinability when in the annealed state.
