Stainless Steel 446 Bars and Rods are ferritic stainless steels made up of iron, 23–27% chromium, and carefully controlled amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon. With very little nickel, they excel in oxidation and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. In terms of mechanical properties, they boast a tensile strength of about 485 MPa, yield strength of 275 MPa, and hardness reaching up to 217 HB. The high chromium content ensures outstanding scaling resistance up to 1100°C, making them perfect for extended use in high-temperature settings. Their excellent machinability and weldability add to their versatility across various demanding applications.
