Stainless Steel 440C Square Bars and Rods are high-carbon martensitic stainless steel alloys that contain about 16–18% chromium, 0.95–1.20% carbon, along with trace amounts of manganese, silicon, molybdenum, and other elements. This distinctive composition grants them remarkable wear resistance, hardness, and moderate corrosion resistance. The alloy boasts a tensile strength of approximately 760–1000 MPa and impressive hardness levels reaching 58–60 HRC after appropriate heat treatment.
