What is Hastelloy C276 Bars and Rods?

Hastelloy C276 rods and bars are nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys with iron and tungsten additions. Their usual content is around 57% nickel, 15-17% molybdenum, 14.5-16.5% chromium, 4-7% iron, and 3-4.5% tungsten. The alloy is immune to a broad range of powerful oxidizers and reducing agents. It possesses great mechanical strength with tensile strength of about 690 MPa and good ductility. Hastelloy C276 has excellent resistance to crevice corrosion, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking, particularly in severe chemical environments like hot contaminated mineral acids, seawater, and chloride solutions.
