Stainless Steel 430 Rectangular Bars are ferritic stainless steels that contain 16–18% chromium, along with a low carbon content (up to 0.12%) and trace amounts of manganese and silicon. This unique composition grants them good resistance to oxidation and mild corrosion, as well as excellent formability and thermal conductivity. The bars boast a tensile strength of about 450–600 MPa and a yield strength of roughly 205 MPa. While they can’t be hardened through heat treatment, SS 430 maintains good structural integrity and moderate mechanical strength, making it a great choice for applications that require corrosion resistance, dimensional stability, and ease of fabrication.
