With a strong commitment to precision, reliability, and customer satisfaction, Sahil Metals proudly serves a variety of sectors with trustworthy metal solutions throughout Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
Tool and Die Steel S7 Bars are air-hardening, shock-resistant tool steels that typically contain around 0.5% carbon, 3.0–3.5% chromium, 2.0–3.0% silicon, along with moderate amounts of molybdenum and manganese. This unique blend results in a remarkable combination of high impact toughness, solid wear resistance, and decent machinability. S7 steel generally boasts a tensile strength ranging from 1400–1900 MPa and shows excellent resistance to softening at elevated temperatures. It retains its hardness even after heat treatment, making it suitable for both hot and cold working applications, including tools that face intense impact and abrasion.

S7 Tool Steel Bars find their place in various tooling applications that require both toughness and wear resistance. They are commonly used for punches, dies, chisels, shear blades, and forming tools that undergo repeated impact or stress. In the plastic molding industry, S7 is the go-to choice for injection molds and compression molds. Additionally, it’s utilized in the aerospace and heavy machinery sectors for components that experience thermal cycling and mechanical shock. Thanks to its air-hardening characteristics and durability, S7 tool steel is perfect for extending tool life in tough working conditions.
