The Stainless Steel 430 Flat Bar is a ferritic stainless steel primarily made of iron, with chromium content between 16–18%. It also includes trace amounts of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. The chromium gives it excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion in mildly aggressive settings. In terms of mechanical properties, it boasts a tensile strength of about 450–600 MPa, a yield strength of around 275 MPa, an elongation of 22%, and a hardness of up to 183 Brinell.
