Duplex Steel S31803 is a nitrogen-alloyed duplex stainless steel with an approximate composition of 22% chromium, 5-6.5% nickel, 3-3.5% molybdenum, and trace amounts of nitrogen and manganese. This alloy provides an austenite-ferrite balanced microstructure and high strength with high strength, outstanding pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, and weldability. Mechanically, it has a tensile strength of about 620 MPa, yield strength of 450 MPa, and superior toughness and fatigue strength.
